Genius Hour Update

Just a heads up that we will be starting to present your Genius Hour presentations later next week and finish all of them before the Holiday/Winter Break.  If you feel like you are not prepared, consider working on your project over the weekend.  Please let me know on Monday if you are going to be ready to present your work next week.

Very Important Day Coming Up!!!

We have a very important day on Wednesday so please make sure you are preparing over the next two days.  We have our second installment of Snack & Chat so please remember to bring your novel and the completed (green) book report sheet.  Oh, and most importantly, your snack!

Also on Wednesday, we have our second unit test in Science.  We have done many exciting Classroom Chemistry experiments and are starting to review these concepts today and tomorrow.  Please take home your duotang and your study guide daily.

Pirate and Character Day tomorrow!

If interested, please dress up tomorrow as your favorite Character from a book or as a Pirate.  Make sure to dress appropriately as we will be still going out for Recess in the morning and at lunch.  Have fun with this and get creative!!!

Scientist Presentation!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  On Tuesday, November 8th, we will be having a guest speaker come present to us in class from 1:00-2:15pm.  This is an exciting and hands-on presentation where you will be watching and creating some Chemistry magic.  Parent volunteers will also be on hand to watch and help out.

Hope everyone has a relaxing long weekend with friends and family members. Remember, we are finishing up our Autobiography books next week so if you need to catch up on some of the writing or typing, please take some time this weekend to finish what you need to do.

Heritage Park Field Trip (October 5th)

Our class will be travelling to Heritage Park tomorrow to take part in the Wetlands program.  Half of the day will be outside so please dress appropriately.  Bring extra clothing in case you need to change into warm, dry clothes at lunchtime.  Also, remember to bring a water bottle and your lunch.
